The highest prize among the honours awarded by the board of directors of Czech Medical Association of J.E. Purkyně to its members is The Award of J.E. Purkyně. It is the highest acknowledgement of exceptional merits in the development of the medical field and lifelong scientific work. It is annually awarded on the château in Libochovice.
CzMA announces competitions and awards prizes to its members for outstanding results in development of medical sciences and affiliated fields.
CzMA awards the following honours:

- Honourable membership in CzMA
Organisational units of CzMA (professional societies and fellowships of physicians) award a honourable membership to their members.
The awards of the board of directors of CzMA are awarded for published works in two categories:
- Original scientific works
- Works significantly affecting healthcare or applying scientific knowledge in medical practice
