Membership

Regular Member of the CzMA:

  • can be a doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare and related field worker who agrees with the mission and goals of the CzMA and commits to contributing to their fulfillment
  • is any member of one of its organizational units. There is no limit to the number of organizational units a member can belong to
  • regular membership is obtained by approval of the applicant's application by the committee of the relevant organizational unit and after payment of the basic membership fee and an additional membership fee determined by the relevant organizational unit
  • can also be a non-profit legal entity with a similar focus. The application for admission with justification must be sent to the presidium of the CzMA, which will decide on the admission of each legal entity individually. Membership of a legal entity is governed by the approved application for legal entities (link) https://www.cls.cz/dokumenty-a-formulare-cls

Every member of the CzMA receives an electronic version of the Journal of Czech Physicians presidential journal as part of their membership.

The committee of the organizational unit is its governing and executive body; it is in contact with individual members of this organizational unit (e.g., sends information about its activities, offers participation in educational events, etc.); the committee cooperates with the presidium of the CzMA.

Become a member

Fill out the online application form available on this site.

When an application approved by the committee has been registered in the central register of members of the CzMA, and the specified membership fees are paid.

Contact details can be updated in the member profile. Changes to email addresses must be reported to cle@cls.cz.
All information regarding CzMA membership (establishment, cancellation, granting of discounts, payment requests) is automatically sent to the provided email addresses in the database.

No, you do not. Just apply for a fee reduction for the stated reason. Fill out and sign the request form clearly and send it to the central member database. It is not necessary to send it by post, just as an email attachment. If you are applying for a fee reduction due to parental leave, you must also submit a copy of the child's birth certificate; otherwise, the request cannot be processed. Wait until the request is fully processed, i.e. discounts are granted in all PS. Each discount is individually entered into the system after approval by the PS committee and submission to the membership database. After the discount is entered into the system, you will receive an automated message with all the information and payment details. Please always wait until your request is fully processed by all societies before paying the membership fees.

Calls for the payment of annual membership fees are sent to the provided email addresses in the member database, usually at the beginning of each calendar year. For those members who do not have an email address in the database, a payment request is sent by postal order to the provided mailing address. Reminders for overdue amounts are repeatedly sent in the same manner. The calls are automatically sent from the url address cle@cls.cz and are not spam. The call includes the total amount due (for all memberships), including any past due amounts, the bank connection for payment (0190837708/0300), and the variable symbol (v.s.). The variable symbol is your registration number, which pairs the received payments in the system. Therefore, please pay attention to the accuracy of the data when entering it in e-banking. For any errors, contact Ms. Havlíková at havlikova@cls.cz, who is in charge of payment records.

According to the current statutes of the CzMA, repeated non-payment of fees may result in the cancellation of CzMA membership and its organizational units. However, this does not mean membership will automatically be canceled and any outstanding amounts annulled. If membership is canceled due to non-payment of membership fees for two or more years, the outstanding membership fee will be required upon reapplication. Without prior payment, membership in the CzMA cannot be renewed or reapplied.

Whether you cancel your membership based on a request or it is canceled for the above reasons, you will always receive an automated email notification. Therefore, it is important that your email addresses are up-to-date. Due to strong antivirus protections at medical workplaces, we recommend providing private email addresses. This prevents the possibility of the message not being delivered (spam, full mailbox, message rejection due to the recipient's software protection, etc.).

Always in writing. Send a filled-out form or information about the cancellation to the membership database email address or by post to the CzMA address. We recommend canceling the membership at the end of a calendar year to avoid paying the membership fee if you decide to cancel membership during the year. Membership fees are set annually and cannot be prorated. If you cancel your membership during the calendar year, you must fulfill the payment obligation for the current year.

As soon as the clerk registers the approved application in the member database, you will receive an automated message to the provided email address about the established membership along with payment details for the annual membership fees. Note! For each approved membership, you will receive one email, i.e. always one for the CzMA and one for each assigned professional society (PS). Sum up the fee amounts and send the total fee using the provided payment details. The processing time for applications generally depends on the frequency of the meetings of the professional societies' committees.

No. Membership in a professional society, which is an organizational unit of the CzMA, is only possible for the members of the CzMA. Similarly, membership in sections offered by some professional societies requires membership in the respective society.
